Any aftermath plan? Hi, All,
It may not be proper saying this at this time. Sorry. I am wondering if any professional investigation about this accident is still undergoing by the local law inforcement. To have a better arrangement of the future life of the family, anything may be valuable, in case the family does not object such investigation and TAAG or others has the motivation of doing it. Such like: 1. Is it absolutely a single car accident but not a hit-and- run case? To know this, the wreck should be inspected for foreign material from other cars. If it were hit-and- run case, additional compensation is expectable in the future. 2. Did the brakes on the wreck look good? By investigating this, the information about if he tried brake and if the brake worked properly when the accident happen could be known. Also, steeling, transmission and engine should also be inspected. If there were any sign of mechanical failure before the car running off the road, a law suit against the vendor of the car or the rental company might have positive return. 3. Also, the safety devices on the wreck should be inspected. How good had they worked, like the safety belts and the bags. If any of them did not work as specified, the vendor should be chargeable. 4. Are they dead at the moment of the car hitting the bottom of the valley? Professional legal medical expert is able to measure the exact death time. If they were not dead at the moment the earliest searching request was put on to the local law enforcement, they might be able to pay for the delayed action. How deep is the valley? How far they fell off the road? 5. What was the direct cause of death? Simple over acceleration caused internal damage when hitting the ground, or smashing over critical body parts, or long time bleeding, or by thirsty and exhausting? A legal medical report should be able to specify this, and it would be critical attestation if the fault of the driver were not the solo cause of the accident. 6. Please help the family to find and sort all insurance policy that the victim held. Any claim-able will be much more helpful than what you can expect from donation. Lei |
